Jana Henson’s journey began with a deep connection to design, inspired by her grandmother's drapery workroom. After 13 years in corporate America, she embraced her creativity and passion, founding Henson's Designs in 2008. Having built three homes in Katy over the past three decades, Jana brings an intimate understanding of the area’s distinct architecture, natural lighting, and family needs to every project. Her vision was simple: to create spaces that blend comfort, function, and style while offering affordable, custom solutions. My introduction to the design world began at the age of nine, I begin being intrigued with my grandmothers workroom as she created custom drapery for Designers in the Baton Rouge area. At the time, I had no idea how profoundly that experience would shape my future. After spending 13 years in the corporate world, I realized I wanted a career that was both fulfilling and aligned with my passion for creativity. Taking a leap of faith, and trusting God, I opened Henson's Designs in 2008 —and it remains one of the best decisions I've ever made. I get to be part of others lives in creating & completing their homes, this has been the most rewarding part of the journey.

I was first introduced to the window treatment industry at the age of nine, accompanying my parents on blind installations. At the time, I could not have imagined where that early exposure would lead nearly two decades later. As a single mother of three boys, I knew I wanted to create a better future for my family.
